Our Causes
Human Rights and Social Justice
Cray Initiative is deeply committed to promoting human rights, with a strong emphasis on combating sexual violence and gender-based injustices. This is evident in the 2019 “Say No to Rape” campaign at Ekiti State University, where Olawale advocated for consent and challenged societal norms that perpetuate victim-blaming, aiming to protect vulnerable populations and foster a culture of dignity and accountability.
Youth Empowerment and Education
A cornerstone of the initiative is empowering Nigeria’s youth through education and skill development. The 2018 Cray Initiative Quiz Competition at Iworoko Community High School, engaging over 376 students, and the establishment of Oyinlade Virtue Academy highlight this cause, focusing on enhancing educational access, addressing outdated curricula, and preparing young people for leadership roles with tech and entrepreneurial skills.
Community Welfare and Sustainability:
Cray Initiative addresses the immediate needs of communities while promoting sustainable development. The 2018 Feeding the Needy Campaign, which provided food to neglected populations, and the integration of Oyinlade Farms for agricultural sustainability underscore this cause, aiming to alleviate hunger, support economic growth, and enhance environmental stewardship across Africa.
